Employee Health Clinic

The Taylor County Employee Health Clinic (TCEHC) provides free health care for minor, non-emergency type illnesses or injuries for County employees and their dependents. 

Please call ahead at (325) 670-9552 to make an appointment. Appointments are available Monday-Friday (same-day appointments are usually available). 

We are located at 400 Oak Street Suite 104, Abilene, TX 79602

We can treat:

• Minor burns
• Minor skin lesions
• Minor injuries- lacerations, sprains & strains
• Minor illnesses such as cold, flu, STREP, sinus infections, etc. 
• Seasonal allergies
• Non-emergent allergic reactions: bee stings and insect bites

Additional services we provide:

• COVID-19 Antigen Testing- including testing required for travel & visitation
• Sports physicals
• Laboratory Testing (routine biometric and outside ordering provider)
• Weight management
• Patient Education
• Referrals for services not provided by TCEHC

We cannot treat the following due to the emergent, critical or specialized care required:

• Significant head injuries
• Broken bones
• Serious, chronic illnesses such as stroke, hypertension, and diabetes (chronic condition management will be referred to a Specialist or PCP)
• Major cardiac events
• Major trauma & injuries

TCEHC is not equipped or intended to provide emergency services.

Keep MDLive in mind before you visit an urgent care, 24 hour stand-alone ER or a hospital ER for minor illnesses after hours and on weekends. MDLive is not intended to replace emergency care but can be useful when TCEHC and your PCP are unavailable for minor illnesses.
