New Residents

If you are a new resident to Texas, and your title is already in your name, you have two options. You may surrender your title and get a Texas title and registration, or you can keep your title and apply for registration only. To apply for either, you must be a resident of Taylor County, or active-duty military and a former resident of Taylor County.

*A Title Application- (Form130-U)

*Proof of insurance that meets Texas limits of Liability

*Proof of Texas Safety Inspection (VI-30)

*A Title Application - (Form 130-U)

If you are active-duty military located in another state, you may submit a Vehicle Self Certification Form (VTR-270) in lieu of the VI-30. This also applies for full-time students located out of state.
